Chocolate Brown and Cream design with random chaotic lines.
The rugs are handtufted in the finest New Zealand wool and over 60 different colours were used over all the designs. The yarn is 3-ply twisted and is coloured using only Swiss or German made dyes. Each rug is individually handtufted on a cotton ground cloth which is pre-stretched on a tufting frame. When tufting is completed, another layer of cotton canvas is applied to the back secured with natural latex. After being left to dry out naturally, the rugs are removed from the frame after which the edges are securely bound. They then go through a thorough manual process of removing excess yarn and cutting the fibres to even length before finally, in most cases, being expertly handcarved to highlight the pattern and colour separation. Extensive use is made of combining high and low pile to provide added design content.
Besides a product code, each design has also been given a name.
